Voting has officially closed for the seventh annual BBC Good Food Middle East Awards and the finalists in each category have been announced.
There are 30 awards up for grabs this year, with brand new categories including ‘Best Afternoon Tea’, ‘Best Bar Food’, ‘Best Beach Club’, ‘Best Business Lunch’, ‘Best Family Brunch’, ‘Best Food Delivery App’, ‘Best Food Hotspot’, ‘Best Food Truck’ and ‘Best Staycation Experience’.
“This year we received a record number of over 200,000 votes from the public and are so excited to announce the finalists in each of our categories. The support of the consumer is what makes our awards stand out in the region.” says Sophie McCarrick, Editor, BBC Good Food Middle East.
Everyone who voted also had a chance to win an amazing three-night stay at The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi Resort, Maldives, worth over 10,000dhs. The winner was chosen at random from those who had shared their votes on social media. Lucky Alexia Doherty will be jetting off to the Maldives soon!
The winners will be revealed at the awards ceremony on 7th November 2016 hosted by CPI Media Group.
