Augustus Launches As A ‘New Media’ Company In Dubai

Augustus is a ‘New Media’ company that launches in Dubai this August. The companies vision is to establish and maintain a ‘New Order’ of media advertising with data and content at the heart of everything it does. Their mission is to be the ‘New Media’ company of choice in the Middle East by generating profitable growth through innovation and breaking the mold in marketing communications. 

Augustus’ core services are media, data and content. They provide brands and agencies with the following: Social Media – training, community management, strategy, software licenses, reporting & analytics; Content – gifs / cinegraphs, media publishing, listicles / articles, video creation, branded events. In addition to these services, Augustus manages and operates the publishing brand Lovin Dubai, alongside being regional representatives for Snaplytics and other social media software.

The company was founded by Richard Fitzgerald, and is supported by a board of advisors including Zee Kane, former CEO of The Next Web, and Helen Al Uzaizi, founder of child entrepreneur program, BizWorld.org. Augustus is based out of Google Astrolabs in JLT and has a team of five full-time staff.

“Augustus is a fusion between an agency and a media publisher, designed for ‘New Media’. We are bringing that always on mindset to brand publishing; we are not a traditional 40-hour-a-week company.

We decided to look at media consumption today, and while many social platforms, tech companies and even publishing brands are being created to cater to the different ways people consume media, there aren’t many marketing companies created to provide services for the new mediums.” Comments Richard Fitzgerald, managing director of Augustus.
