The Wall Street Journal to Conduct an On-The-Record Interview During the CIO Forum at NEXT 2017

Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE:6501), today announced that The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) will conduct an on-the-record interview during the CIO Forum at NEXT 2017, the premier event for the digital revolution.

NEXT 2017 will be held September 18-21, 2017 in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Resort. The Wall Street Journal will be hosting a forum titled, “Business Gets Smarter With IoT,” focused on the role of information technology in the internet of things.

Business is surrounded by data: on the factory floor and on the rails, in the air and in finance. The trick is to capture it and capitalize on the opportunities. Attendees are invited to watch and join in as The Wall Street Journal examines how business gets smarter when information technology meets the internet of things. Learn how companies recognize opportunities in the data that is all around them. Information that was previously ignored or lost now is leveraged to reduce costs, build revenue and innovate. A WSJ interview will draw out expert insights, and audience members will pose questions of their own.

“Hitachi is undergoing a major transformation and we are thrilled to welcome The Wall Street Journal hosted forum ‘Business Gets Smarter With IoT,’ to the first annual, NEXT conference. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from a Journal editor and IT leaders during an on-the-record interview focused on the impact of IT meeting IoT. It’s a session you won’t want to miss!” said Mary Ann Gallo, chief communications officer, Hitachi Data Systems.
