Travel industry entrepreneur Naveen Kundu has acquired a majority stake in Dubai-based VOYAGE 1, integrating the destination management company with his destination marketing platform, Tourism Futures.AI, in a move aimed at expanding the company’s global destination management capabilities.
Under the new ownership structure, Kundu will serve as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, leading the integrated business alongside VOYAGE 1’s founding team.
Founded by Vishal Dhansinghani and co-founded by Lavin Dhansinghani and Amit Kumar, VOYAGE 1 operates through wholly owned destination management companies across several international leisure and business travel markets. The company has built its business around an ownership-led model supported by local destination expertise and operational capabilities.
VOYAGE 1 currently operates destination companies in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Vietnam, Japan, South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda.
Following the acquisition, the company plans to expand its footprint into Switzerland, the Nordics, Thailand and the Americas, further strengthening its international destination management network.
According to the company, the integration combines VOYAGE 1’s destination management infrastructure with Tourism Futures.AI’s AI-powered destination marketing and customer acquisition platform. The combined business aims to provide travel agents with personalised recommendations, enhanced customer acquisition capabilities, improved operational efficiency and expanded commercial opportunities.
