WPP is named NVIDIA Industry Innovation Partner of the Year in EMEA

WPP was today recognised by the NVIDIA Partner Network as the Industry Innovation Partner of the Year in EMEA.

The award, announced at the annual NVIDIA Partner Network EMEA Partner Day, honours WPP’s transformative applications of AI using the NVIDIA AI Enterprise and NVIDIA Omniverse platforms in the marketing and advertising sector.

This recognition follows innovative work the two companies have been developing in the past year, having forged a collaboration in May 2023 to build a groundbreaking generative AI-powered content engine. Developed on NVIDIA Omniverse, this engine seamlessly integrates 3D and AI tools from leading software companies, enabling the creation of brand-consistent content at scale.

Since its launch, the content engine has seen successful deployments across a number of industries. In August 2023, WPP collaborated with NVIDIA to unveil a 3D car configurator for the automotive sector that was demonstrated at the SIGGRAPH conference. Recently, at the NVIDIA GTC global AI conference, the companies showcased a collaboration with L’Oréal to help revolutionise beauty content creation globally. Additional activations are underway with world-leading advertisers including The Coca-Cola Company and Ford.

Stephan Pretorius, Chief Technology Officer at WPP, said: “We are honoured to be acknowledged by the NVIDIA Partner Network as a leader in innovating with AI through this award. Our collaboration has been instrumental in driving innovation and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in creative content. We believe that the future of our industry lies in embracing AI and virtual production to augment our creativity, and we are excited to continue working with NVIDIA to help unlock the full potential of AI for the benefit of our clients.”

“NVIDIA Omniverse and Generative AI are catalysing transformative changes within the marketing and advertising industries, revolutionising the way brands engage with their audiences and create immersive, personalised experiences,” said Dirk Barfuss, director of EMEA channel at NVIDIA. “WPP’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of AI in conjunction with NVIDIA technologies has positioned them as a deserving recipient of our Industry Innovation Partner of the Year award in EMEA.”

Building on its leadership in innovative content creation, WPP recently joined the Alliance for OpenUSD, co-founded by creative technology leaders NVIDIA, Pixar, Apple, Adobe, and Autodesk, which aims to standardise 3D modelling and promote interoperability between sectors.

This follows WPP’s announcement in January that it would be investing £250m annually into data and technology that supports its AI strategy. This includes the company’s AI-powered marketing operating system WPP Open, already used by more than 35,000 people across the business. Based on WPP IP and owned technology, WPP Open applies the company’s decades of experience serving enterprise clients and integrates across multiple clients, partners and technology vendors to create optimised and automated marketing capabilities.
