Weekly philanthropic segment to support struggling listeners overcome challenges and achieve their goals
Gold 101.3 FM, the UAE’s leading Malayalam radio station is thrilled to kick off a brand-new philanthropic initiative called “SaVy Connect” that seeks to give back to the community and help less-fortunate listeners, by aiding them in overcoming their struggles or fulfilling their life’s ambition. Inspired by listeners from humble background and their stories, Gold 101.3 FM will fund the initiative and ensure that once a week, a deserving listener has the opportunity to realize their dream. This philanthropic segment is part of the “Morning Drive with Vysakh & Samira”, every Sunday to Thursday, 6am to 11am.
Listeners are encouraged to nominate deserving individuals to share their stories, after which Vysakh and Samira will select the listener that is most worthy of support and surprise them on-air. Previous listeners who have been aided include a taxi driver who wanted a laptop for his daughter, so she could effectively prepare for her upcoming examinations.
