This February Dance FM 97.8 launched into the region, broadcasting the best in dance music across various genres.
The station plays accessible dance-influenced music 24 hours a day with live sets from international and local DJs – as well as visiting international artists. Listeners can tune into live DJ sets nightly from 8pm.
Launched by Theo Makris co-owner of PointBlank FM: London’s longest-running award-winning house and dance music station and Raed Zidan, local businessman, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Dance FM 97.8 is run by Makris and Digby Taylor, who has worked closely with Gulf News Broadcasting LLC developing new stations across the Middle East.

Dance FM has seen a 40% increase in daily listeners and in the first wave of 2017 has already achieved the number three positions for expats in the country.
