STARZPLAY introduces two exciting new series, ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ and ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City,’ offering fans in the region an exclusive streaming experience. Following closely, on February 26th, ‘The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live’ will make its global debut on STARZPLAY, same time as the U.S. premiere.
The Walking Dead series, adapted from the renowned comic book, has been a cultural phenomenon since its inception in 2010. Spanning 11 seasons and concluding in 2022, the franchise continues to expand with compelling spin-offs, illustrating the enduring appeal of The Walking Dead universe.
‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ tracks lead character Daryl’s (Norman Reedus) resilient journey across France as he valiantly seeks to find his way back home. In ‘Dead City’ Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) travel to post-apocalyptic Manhattan, a world filled with anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.
Adding to the excitement, STARZPLAY will present two additional Walking Dead stories, enriching the universe with diverse perspectives, characters, and mysteries. ‘Tales of the Walking Dead,’ released in 2022, comprises six standalone episodes delving into the lives of both new and established characters within the walker apocalypse. Meanwhile, ‘The Walking Dead Origins,’ a 2021 documentary, explores the zombie apocalypse from the viewpoint of a single character, featuring interviews with actors such as Norman Reedus (Daryl), Melissa McBride (Carol), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan), and Lauren Cohan (Maggie) and clips from the series.
The newest instalment in The Walking Dead franchise, ‘The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live’ marks the return of Rick (Andrew Lincon) after his departure from the original series in Season 9. The series follows the epic love story of Rick and Michonne (Danai Gurira), kept apart by an unstoppable power as they grapple with their identity without each other.
