Mobile Video Rewards: Boon or Bane?

“Frenzy Brands” recently announced the launch of its mobile application, a free interactive tool that gives its UAE consumers a chance to win multiple prizes daily through digital sweepstakes. 

In the realm of advertisement today, mobile video ads are more engaging and cost-effective than print, broadcast or banner ads. However, mobile video ads are basically another form of interrupt advertising. While its performance might differ from print, broadcast or banner ads, it holds the same qualities that are stirring up hatred among consumers, who don’t want a mobile experience filled with distracting advertisements and therefore consumers tend to install ad blocking programs which have shown a dramatic increase in the past years. 

Frenzy Brands recognizes this frustration and therefore, for the beneficial of both consumers and businesses, it introduces a new and creative medium for businesses to interact and build connections with consumers online, so both parties gain value. Consumers if lucky will win a prize from a brand thus creating a positive consumer engagement.  

This is a one of a kind platform. The concept is fully based on pure luck and is computer automated and the luck element is reflected into the logo of a Frog sitting on a four clover leaf. 

“The Frog is a sign of prosperity and good luck in Eastern cultures like china and ancient Egypt, and the four clover is a sign of Good luck in the western cultures, we like to think of our logo as the fortune cookie of east and west,” said Marwa Hassan, Co-founder of Frenzy Brands.

Frenzy brands is a member of the In5, the innovation centre launched by Dubai Internet City (DIC) to support the UAE’s ICT start-up sector.

Al Kabab, Principle and Founder of Frenzy Brands FZ-LLC.

“We hope to contribute to His Highness’s vision in reaching new heights regionally and globally and changing the way consumers perceive advertising on a local and global scale,” he further added.

Since the App was launched a month ago Frenzy Brands has reached over 3,000 subscribers in the first week alone and are currently members of Microsoft Bizspark and Facebook Startup Programs. Frenzy Brands are currently working on developing a better and more effective platform that promises new innovative concepts.
