PIAF Awards launched for 2018
The 9th edition of the International festival PIAF has just announced its Call for Entries. The competition will once again rely on a great jury, chaired this year by the 7th best creative in the world according to the Big Won rankings – the Swedish Björn Stahl. The novelty this year will be the conference held on May 30th under the name Communication Summit.
Interested parties can take advantage of the special reduced price for entries until February 4th. After that and until the deadline on March 30th, standard rates apply. The jury will first decide online on the shortlists, which PIAF will publish in the first half of May. The actual judging, aka the decision-making on which entries will get an award, will take place right before the Award Ceremony on May 28th and 29th.
The Jury will be chaired by Björn Stahl, ECD/CCO at agency INGO, the seventh man on the Big Won ranking and an experienced juror. Björn has been in advertising for 27 years. Eleven of those working for Lowe, in Stockholm and in London. The last 13 years he has been ECD/CCO and a member of the board at INGO – an agency created by a world unique merger between Grey and Ogilvy. He is a member of both networks – the Global Creative Council. The agency has creatively gone from practically nowhere to win international acclaim: No 6 in Fast Company’s “Most innovative Companies in the world”, Agency of the year at Eurobest 2017 and 3rd best agency after Cannes Lions also in 2016. He has won some 150 awards, including Titanium and Grand Prix in Cannes and a Black Pencil.
The entire PIAF Jury will be disclosed in early February.
The winners of the competition will be known on May 30th. They will receive their award at the end of the Communication Summit, which builds on previous PIAF conferences.
“We joined forces with the agency Blue Events, which organized the PR Summit and the Marketing Management events in the spring – two conferences that were very close to PIAF in their content. As the communication fields become interconnected, so do specialized forums,” says Marek Hlavica, PIAF Director.
