The summit provides a platform for business leadership from twenty member states to formulate responses to the opportunities and challenges created by the evolution of business in their home economies.

As part of Turkey’s presidency over the G20 Summit this year, TUGIAD, The Young Businessmen Association of Turkey, has the honor of hosting the Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (YEA) in Istanbul on 7th-9th September 2015.

The agenda of the three day conference falls in line with Turkey’s ambition to advocate for inclusive economies that offer opportunities for both the businesses and the communities they operate in, by reconciling economic goals with social responsibility, eyeing ideals of long-term sustainable growth.

With one foot set in Europe and the other in Asia, Istanbul is an economic powerhouse that holds an immense strategic advantage in bridging the challenges put forth by diverse business environments across the globe. It is this dynamic cross-cultural relevancy and insight that hosts of this forum believe will provide the hundreds of business professionals and industry-influencers attending the event from across the G20 states to discover opportunities and defeat challenges via networking, connecting and co-creating solutions.

The summit will also bring together key International Young Business Leaders from the region and beyond, to spell out upcoming economic trends and foster dialogue with the attendees. With more than 20 sessions, and 50 speakers, the forum is sure to provide stimulating dialogue led by change makers of the business world. Some of the distinguished Keynote speakers include Coca-Cola Chairman and CEO Muhtar Kent, Philip Morris SA General Manager Enrique Jimenez, the world famous investor and Scaal Capital Board Member, Kaushal Chokshi. Other equally distinguished discussion initiators include Jeune President Patrik Kovacs, the European Commission Head of the Unit Clusters, Social Economy and Entrepreneurship Michel Catinat, JCI 2015 World President Ismail Haznedar such names as well as pioneers of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Providing local context to the debate will be TUGIAD Chairman and prominent Turkish-infrastructure industry tycoon Rahmi Çuhacı, along with other leaders shaping the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Turkey. They will be focusing on the “Globalization of Entrepreneurial Culture” with reference to entrepreneurship policy as the cornerstone of a new economic strategy, combining knowledge from young entrepreneurs and larger firms alike. Highlighting the importance of entrepreneurship for the Turkish economy, Çuhacı said, “99 per cent of the companies in Turkey are SMEs, which underscores the importance of developing an entrepreneurial culture, much like the fact that 76 per cent of all employment in the country is provided by SMEs, which makes them the single biggest shareholder from an economic standpoint, and a top priority for TUGIAD”.

Registrations are currently underway to allow interested businesses and Individuals, to gain from the wealth of resources and networking opportunities that this summit will bring to Turkey.
