Opportunity Belongs To Everyone, Says Business Group Chairwoman

HE Sheikha Dr Hind Al Qassimi, Chairwoman of the Business Professional Women’s Emirates Club and a member of the Sharjah Royal family stressed how important is it that both men and women are afforded equal opportunity.

She was speaking to an audience of more than 100 people with a keen interest in leveraging the essence of women across all aspects of society at the inaugural Women’s Peak Performance Summit in Abu Dhabi recently.

“It is so important that both genders are able to acquire the education, skills and resources necessary to build successful and self-sufficient prosperous lives, for themselves, their families – and the community as a whole. In the UAE, we are blessed to have this opportunity,” Sheikha Dr Hind said.

She also praised the event organizers for creating the Summit which featured expert presentations on the seven areas (peaks) of a women’s life on the path to success – Emotional Intelligence, Social, Mental, Physical, Environment, Finances and Career.

Summit Co-Founders, Anna Heystek, entrepreneur and Director of Escape Events and Jules Lewis, explorer and business consultant of Mountain High fame confirmed that this will now be an annual event.

“Our thanks go to our Patron, our speakers and partners for their support in making this first Summit a resounding success.

“We received so many positive comments confirming that the innovative content of the master classes provided timely, relevant information allowing participants to walk away with new, empowering actions for lasting, meaningful change.

“We are passionate about supporting Abu Dhabi’s 2030 economic vision and long term strategic goals, and believe this event can play but a small part to this end.”

Meanwhile, Lewis said that the master classes provided participants the opportunity to invest in their personal development and elevate their awareness of the top tips, tools and strategies for success.

“The event structure also provided an excellent opportunity to meet and mingle with a cross-cultural, cross-generational group of pro-active people from diverse professional backgrounds,” Lewis said.

She noted that female and male delegates came from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Qatar and Copenhagen, alongside a whole cast of corporate support, including Abu Dhabi Convention Bureau.

Heystek confirmed a series of Peak Performance Workshops will take place over the coming months to reinforce and deepen the knowledge taken from the Summit.

She also announced that next year’s Summit will be held on the 21st May 2016, again in Abu Dhabi at the Anantara Eastern Mangroves Hotel and Spa.
