General Motors Middle East has announced that it has appointed Molly Peck, a leader with over 20 years of experience with GM, as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Peck is responsible for all marketing and customer experience strategies and programs for the Chevrolet and GMC brands in the 10 Middle East markets in which GM operates.
Peck steps into the role after three years serving as the Director of Marketing for Buick, North America – one of many senior leadership roles she has held with General Motors.
She has a number of accolades to her name including helming the “That’s a Buick” campaign, which Neilsen named as the top luxury automotive advertising campaign of 2014 and 2015. She also has won two EFFIE marketing awards, including the coveted Gold EFFIE, for the Cadillac ATS launch campaign in 2012. Peck was also listed in the 2013 Billboard Power 100, and was named as one of Advertising Age’s ‘Women to Watch’ in 2012.
“Molly’s credentials and expertise in her field speak for themselves and we are delighted to have another strong leader join GM Middle East’s leadership,” said Mario A. Spangenberg, President and Managing Director of GM Africa and Middle East.
“Providing a world class customer experience is paramount at GM which is why we have entrusted this to Molly. I have no doubt that she is ideally positioned to drive our projects to connect with customers in what is an important year for Chevrolet and GMC,” Spangenberg added, alluding to the automaker’s upcoming product launches aimed at strengthening its crossover vehicle portfolio.
Peck said, “With the advancements we see on the product, technology and customer service fronts, it’s certainly an exciting time to be at GM Middle East. I look forward to working with our teams and dealers to provide customers with experiences and vehicles that are truly world class.”
Her ability to lead the company’s brand communications, advertising, digital marketing, retail experience and customer engagement departments is underpinned by her extensive experience at GM North America. Prior to her role as Director of Marketing for Buick, Peck also served as Director of Advertising for Chevrolet, Director of Advertising and Sales Promotion for Cadillac and National Advertising and Sales Promotion Manager for Chevrolet. Through her career, she has also held a number of sales, analyst and marketing positions. She has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Indiana University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
