MEC honored with five IAB MIXX 2016 Digital Excellence Awards

MEC, a leading global media agency, has been recognized for digital excellence by The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) with five awards at its 2016 Annual Dinner Gala in celebration of today’s most innovative interactive marketing campaigns. 

The winning campaigns are:

• GOLD: Energizer “Energizer EcoAdvanced”

• SILVER: Netflix “House of Cards #FU2016” for Brand Awareness and Positioning with BBH NY

• SILVER: Netflix “House of Cards #FU2016” for Omni-Channel Storytelling/Cross-Media Integration with BBH NY

• BRONZE: Netflix & WSJ Narcos’ “Cocainenomics” for Branded Site

• BRONZE: Paramount Pictures International “Mission: Impossible, Rogue Nation” for Branded Games in partnership with Avatar Labs and Phunware

The agency was shortlisted for a total of seven campaigns including work for Campbell Soup Co.’s Swanson Broth “Fundamentals of Flavor” campaign and Tiffany & Co. “Gatecrash the Runway”

“The IAB MIXX Awards honors those digital marketing campaigns which dare, utilizing pioneering techniques to reach audiences in increasingly compelling and socially driven ways,” said David Doty, Executive Vice President and CMO, IAB. “We were thrilled to see so much innovative work entered into the awards and tonight we are honored to celebrate the exemplary marketing that represent the best of today’s industry.”

The win comes on the heels of recent honors including Adweek’s Media Plan of the Year Grand Prize for the winning Netflix “House of Cards #FU2016” campaign and an OMMA for the winning Paramount ‘Mission: Impossible, Rogue Nation.’
