Vice Media Group Hires Ramin Arani as New Chief Financial Officer

Veteran finance executive Ramin Arani has been named Vice Media Group’s new chief financial officer

Arani will report directly to Vice CEO Nancy Dubuc, and will lead all financial and accounting functions for company while taking over the responsibility for aligning the company’s global business.

With Vice’s recent acquisition of Refinery29, Arani will also work to bring together the financial operations of both companies while looking to drive future strategic opportunities.

Arani to oversee VICE’s strategic financial efforts as the company continues its global growth and expansion

VICE Media Group has appointed veteran finance executive, Ramin Arani as its new Chief Financial Officer, as announced by Nancy Dubuc, CEO, to whom he will also report.

Arani will lead all financial and accounting functions for VICE Media Group and will be responsible for aligning the company’s growing lines of business globally. Following VICE Media Group’s recent acquisition of Refinery29, Arani will also work to unify the financial operations of both companies while also driving future strategic opportunities.

“Ramin has been close to the VICE family for over a decade, both as an early supporter and trusted advisor,” stated Dubuc. “His extensive investment experience in media and technology will help shape our future strategic direction and growth across our global footprint and businesses as the media industry continues to evolve.”

Arani comes to VICE with over two decades of experience managing robust financial portfolios. A 26-year veteran of Fidelity Investments, Arani previously served as a portfolio manager at Fidelity Management & Research Company. Most recently, Ramin was fund manager of the Fidelity Puritan Fund achieving top 5% performance against industry peers.

Arani’s financial experience spans a variety of sectors including media, technology, health care, real estate, retail, aerospace and defense. He is a graduate of Tufts University with a bachelor of arts degree in international relations.

Arani has served on several company boards including Legendary Pictures, Rent the Runway, Goop, Rumble Boxing, Sakara Life, and others. Among his philanthropic efforts, he serves on the boards of The College Foundation of the University of Virginia, the Institute for Global Leadership at Tufts University, Opportunity Network, Devereux Cleo Wallace, Ron and Danny’s Rescue for dogs and previously The Nichols School
