DSOA to Showcase its Entrepreneurship Center at ArabNet Digital Summit 2015

Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the integrated free zone technology park, will showcase its Dubai Technology Entrepreneurship Centre (DTEC) as part of its participation at ArabNet Digital Summit 2015, the region’s premier conference for digital business in the Middle East.

During its participation, DSOA will showcase the value added services it offers through DTEC; the largest entrepreneurship center in the MENA region, that has been specifically tailored to nurture the growth of start-ups and young entrepreneurs in the fields of technology and Digital Islamic Economy and Arabic Content. DSOA will also demonstrate best-in-class sustainable tech solutions, as well as the advanced infrastructure and enabling facilities provided within the hi-tech park.

Set to run from May 27-28 at Atlantis The Palm Hotel & Resort in Dubai, ArabNet Digital Summit 2015 will gather over 1,000 executives, investors, technocrats, and key decision makers that have played a major role in the region’s web and mobile industry. Aspiring entrepreneurs from more than 25 countries worldwide are also anticipated to converge at the summit and the co-located exhibition.

Highlighting cutting-edge practices in technology and e-business, the main forum will cover a range of topics, including smart cities and governments, financial technology and innovation, and how enterprises can become smarter and more efficient through leveraging mobile and social channels.

Speaking ahead of DSOA’s participation, Shahla Ahmed Abdul Razak, Deputy Chief Executive Officer at DSOA, said: “As technology entrepreneurship and the Digital Islamic Economy gain ground in the region, DSOA is engaging proactively in shaping tech enterprises of the future and committing significant additional resources. We are showcasing DTEC and its plans to support entrepreneurial initiatives at ArabNet Digital Summit 2015 to articulate our ongoing commitment to partnering in the digital revolution and facilitating empowered lives for our community at DSO.”

She added: “We have previously supported talented technology start-ups through DSOA’s wholly owned “Silicon Oasis Founders”, a technology incubation center that was launched in 2010. Following to the increasing demand to support more tech start-ups and local young talents we developed the largest entrepreneurship centre in the region (DTEC). We are confident that this centre, together with our incubator, will offer these visionary enterprises and young talents an enabling ecosystem where they can see their ideas come to fruition from concept to completion.”

A wholly-owned entity of the government of Dubai, DSO operates as a free zone technology park for large enterprises, medium and small companies looking to set up their offices in Dubai.
