Middle East Public Relations Association Opens Entries for the Annual MEPRA Awards 2024

The Middle East Public Relations Association (MEPRA) is pleased to announce the opening of entries for the 16th Annual MEPRA Awards. As the premier event for the communications industry in the Middle East, the MEPRA Awards honour outstanding campaigns and professionals whose work has made a significant impact across the region.

Open to public relations and communications agencies, in-house teams, and individuals throughout the Middle East, the MEPRA Awards recognise exceptional and innovative campaigns across a diverse range of categories. This year, MEPRA has introduced 11 new categories, including Best Use of Artificial Intelligence, Best Use of Arabic Language Campaign, Best ESG Campaign, Best Education Campaign, and Best Communicator of the Year, to further highlight excellence in various aspects of communication.

“Effective communication has the power to shape perceptions, influence behaviour, and drive positive change in our communities,” said Kate Midttun, MEPRA Chairperson. “The MEPRA Awards celebrate those who excel in this vital field, showcasing the creativity, dedication, and impact of PR professionals across the Middle East. These awards not only recognise outstanding achievements but also set new benchmarks and underscore the essential role that communications play in making a meaningful difference.”

Weber Shandwick MENAT returns as the Diamond Partner for the third consecutive year, reaffirming their steadfast support for the MEPRA Awards and demonstrating their ongoing dedication to advancing the industry. “The Middle East region is still confidently growing business-wise, and at the same time reaffirming that it is an epicentre where bold ideas, creative insights, and great work are being generated and executed. The ability for regional communicators to share their work by entering the MEPRA Awards, adds great value not only to proud campaign contributors, but also develops a deeper understanding and recognition of our wider industry. That’s why we’re always proud to support this special industry programme,” said Ziad Hasbani, Regional CEO of Weber Shandwick MENAT.

The deadline for entries is set for 5th September. A distinguished panel of judges composed of leading industry professionals will thoroughly evaluate the submissions along with an adjudication panel to ensure the utmost transparency and fairness in the judging process. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Dubai on Thursday, 28th November 2024, featuring a special gala event where the winners will be unveiled and celebrated for their exceptional work.

Further enriching the event’s prestige and prominence, MSL Group Middle East and Action Global Communications join as Platinum Partners, reflecting their commitment to fostering excellence within the industry and recognising outstanding achievements in communications. Supporting partners include CARMA, Mubadala, and Place Communications.
