In the run up to the 14th edition of the Arab Media Forum (AMF 2015), Sky News Arabia has announced its participation in a series of thought leadership sessions that reiterate its commitment to providing objective and dynamic coverage across broadcast and digital media platforms.
Themed ‘New Perspectives’, AMF 2015 is organized by Dubai Press Club under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Engaging key government officials and eminent thought leaders from the regional and international media landscape, the event is set to run from May 12 to 13 at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai.
In its capacity as strategic media partner of AMF 2015, Sky News Arabia will collaborate with the forum’s organizing committee on multi-dimensional levels.
The channel will moderate an open discussion with His Excellency Dr Anwar Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs. Titled ‘A Promising Future’, the channel’s presenter Yousef Al Shareef will steer a discussion on the Arab world’s ability to keep pace with global scientific advancements and innovation. The session will highlight successful case studies with the purpose of conveying hope to a region currently transitioning through challenges and uncertainties.
Furthermore, Nart Bouran, Head of Sky News Arabia, will participate in a panel discussion on ‘New Perspectives Changing the World’. The segment will discuss geo-political changes in the Arab world and examine their impact on the media industry that has led to the emergence of innovative technological platforms.
In addition, Sky News Arabia will conduct a specialized workshop entitled ‘Media and the Digital World’ designed for media students and participants of the forum. During the workshop, Sky News Arabia’s Thaer Sukar, Head of Digital Strategy, and Abdu Jadallah, Chief Sub-Editor -Output, will highlight latest developments and trends in the digital world, and the continued changes to media and information consumption patterns.
Furthermore, SkyNews Arabia will provide special coverage of the Arab Media Forum 2015, and initiate interactive discussions on social media platforms and the channel’s website.
