VIACOM International Media Networks (VIMN) is delighted to announce that as of 9th February, content on Nickelodeon HD (OSN Channel 355) and Nick Jr. (OSN Channel 356) will be available in both English and Arabic. The exciting addition of Arabic language follows the launch of the two channels exclusively on OSN, the region’s leading pay-TV network, earlier this year and further enhances the appeal to kids and families throughout the MENA region.
OSN viewers will now be able to catch all of their favourite shows in their native tongue, across both channels:
February highlights on Nickelodeon HD, one of the most globally recognized and widely distributed kids and family channels, include new episodes from the iconic SpongeBob SquarePants, as well as a new series from the world’s friendliest pizza-loving Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, karate kicking their way into 2015. Elsewhere, Sanjay and his best friend Craig, a talking snake who get themselves into some crazy antics keeping their secret from Mr Noodman in Sanjay and Craig.
Over on Nick Jr., a positive entertainment destination dedicated to preschoolers 3-6 years old, un-missable shows include new episodes from Paw Patrol where ‘no job is too big, no pup is too small’ for tech-savvy Ryder and his heroic pups. During weekends, children can be kept entertained with movie premieres of Dora the Explorer and her latest adventure in Dora Saves the Crystal Kingdom, or watch her cousin Diego Marquez and his escapades on Go Diego Go in Diego’s African Safari.
VIMN’s Dubai Media City team will take over the production of Nickelodeon HD, transforming it into the only international kids TV channel available in Arabic produced in the MENA region exclusively for OSN. The partnership with OSN strengthens VIMN’s ability to deliver high quality content appealing to different age groups in MENA.
Content from the newly launched channels will also be available on OSN Play, the award-winning online viewing platform. Not only does this strengthen the content variety on OSN Play, it also offers families the option to watch their favorite shows anytime, anywhere on multiple devices. OSN Play is offered as a free value-added catch-up service for OSN subscribers.
A dedicated Nickelodeon website, social media accounts and an exclusive Nick app will also be launched soon.
