Al Oula radio station is set to participate in the Arab Media Forum 2016 for the very first time as part of its role as the audio arm of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC).
The 15th edition of this Forum, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre on May 10 and 11, will see a large number of Al Oula broadcasters in attendance over the course of the form.
Prominent presenters from the station shall air popular programmes such as ‘Al Rayeh,’ ‘Sabah Al Oula’ and ‘Le Al Shabab Al Rai’ during the forum and there will also be the inaugural launch of a segment entitled ‘Khabrna Menkom Wefekom’ – a news bulletin with selected snippets from social media outlets such as Snap Chat, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.
Fatma Arif Al Bannay, Director of Al Oula radio station and the General Manager of the Media Office at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC), commented: “It’s very important for all of us at the station to participate in the Arab Media Forum given that it’s a gathering of such global significance for the foremost thinkers in the journalism industry.
“The Arab Media Forum is a shining beacon for all of its attendees in that it seeks to consolidate the concepts, principles and values of the media upon those present.”
Al Bannay added: “The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC) likes to play its part in all such media forums – regionally and internationally – by interacting with the activities, programmes and seminars at these events throughout the calendar year. They contribute to the enrichment of the thought processes and visions in the media field overall.”
The form will also be used to showcase the intangible cultural heritage of the United Arab Emirates by the staff at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC), who will also provide a traditional Emirati breakfast during this two-day forum.
