Disney has made some changes to its leadership Disney+ team in Europe, Middle East and Africa, with Lee Mason becoming the Executive Director of Scripted Originals and Sean Doyle becoming the Executive Director of Unscripted Originals within the region.
These promotions will see their roles remain pretty similar, and they’ve not been given additional responsibilities. Both executives have been working at Disney for more than three years and they’ve both previously worked at Channel 4.
Lee Mason took over the role of commissioner last year, replacing Johanna Devereaux, who moved to Apple TV+. He recently commissioned the British Original series, “Rivals”, “Shardlake” and the upcoming “A Thousand Blows”. Lee has also previously worked on “The Full Monty” series, along with “It’s A Sin” and “The End of the F***ing World”.
Sean Doyle has recently commissioned the British documentaries, “Camden”, “Save Our Squad with David “, “Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story” and “Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story“.
Some of the projects that Sean commissioned prior to working on Disney+ included “Celebrity Snoop Dogs”, “ Matt Baker: Our Farm in the Dales” and the reboot of “Blind Date”.
