AEG Presents Names Nick Spampanato Chief Operating Officer, Venues

Veteran Venue Manager and Senior Vice President of Venue Operations Elevated to Executive Role

AEG Presents, a global leader in live music and events, announced today that Nick Spampanato, having most recently served as Senior Vice President of Venue Operations, has been named Chief Operating Officer, Venues.

“Nick is the best in the business,” commented Brent Fedrizzi, AEG Presents President, North American Regional Offices, to whom Spampanato will report. “His track record speaks for itself. He’s got an institutional knowledge of venue management at every level, from clubs and theatres all the way up to arenas. Nick has a clear vision on how to effectively manage our critical portfolio of owned and operated venues, and how to propel the business forward. I’m delighted to see him step into this elevated role.”

Added Spampanato: “It goes without saying that our venues are a vital part of the live event ecosystem; getting my hands in there and making a difference in how they run has always been what drew me to this business. I look forward to working more closely with Brent and everyone at our venues to ensure we continue to bring a best-in-class experience to everyone who walks through our doors.”

Spampanato brings over 25 years of industry experience in music venue management. Prior to joining AEG Presents, he spent 10 years at MSG Entertainment, first at the legendary Beacon Theatre in 2009 and then the famed Forum in 2012. He was named SVP and General Manager of the Forum in 2013, and for five years oversaw building operations, event production, food and merchandise, parking, ticketing, and all third-party service providers at the arena.

Spampanato, who will be based out of Los Angeles, will oversee the business and operations for AEG Presents’ 50 owned and operated clubs and theatres – ranging in capacity from 250 to 18,000 – with more currently under construction.

Previous roles include General Manager at the Hollywood Palladium (2008) and The Wiltern (2009). Spampanato began his career at Universal Amphitheatre in 1992.

Throughout his career, Spampanato has also been instrumental in executing production requirements for high-profile special events including the Billboard Music Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, NAACP Image Awards, Tony Awards, and various MTV and VH1 award shows.
