Accelerating digital transformation in the cloud and deriving new digital business value topped the agenda at Oracle’s Executive Digital Summit held yesterday on the sidelines of the ongoing GITEX Technology Week.
The summit was attended by prominent regional government and corporate executives including His Excellency Marwan Bin Jassim Al Sarkal, CEO, Shurooq and John Fowler, Executive Vice President Systems, Oracle.
Inspiring keynotes from thought leaders at the forefront of driving digital transformation; an exclusive panel discussion where Oracle customers – including Aldar, Landmark Group, Saudi Arabian Trading and Construction Company, Shurooq, Zamil Industrial Investment Company – shared their individual experiences and an awards ceremony that celebrated exceptional digital transformations in the cloud from across the region were the key highlights of the Executive Digital Summit.

During the special awards ceremony, the Americana Group, Shurooq and Shawarmer were recognized in the fast growing organizations category. Ghantoot Group, Saudi Arabian Trading and Construction Company, Zamil Industrial Investment Company and Aldar received a Digital Excellence award in the cloud applications (SaaS) category.
Under the technology category, Oracle recognized STC, Elbooq Information Systems and Magrabi. Nalsoft, IMTAC, Al Moammar Information Systems (MIS) and Injazat were recognized under the Partner category.
Furthermore, Department of Finance – Abu Dhabi received an award under the Managed Cloud Services category. Besides this, GOSI, AMMROC and Abu Dhabi distribution were awarded for best Systems implementation. Ministry of Finance, Kuwait also received an award for best Customer Support Services.
