‘The impact of technology upon brands’ and ‘content consumption in a mobile-first world’ shall be among the subjects up for discussion at the Fifth Digital Media Forum (DMF), which will also play host to the Third MENA Digital Awards, here in Dubai on April 26th.
The event is being billed as the biggest gathering of the industry’s top, influential leaders from the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) region and around the world, with a plethora of international experts and renowned speakers exploring the hottest and latest trends in the digital sphere and sharing their success stories.
Najla Semaan Mazboudi – Managing Director of SpotOn, owner and founder of DMF will begin the forum with an opening address prior to a keynote speech from the Du CEO Osman Sultan. Case studies on Twitter and Nasdaq shall also be interspersed among networking sessions and panel discussions with – among others – social media influencers, while the Executive Creative Director at DigitasLBi, Simon Attwater, and his counterpart at OgilvyOne MENA, Will Rust, will give 15-minute talks intriguingly entitled ‘Embrace Boredom’ and ‘More Stupid Ideas’ respectively.
There will be a ‘fireside chat’ too between prominent advertising and media figureheads, including Tarek Daouk, Regional Managing Director MediaVest MENA at Starcom MediaVest, Mounir Harfouche, CEO Mullen Iowe Mean and the Managing Director at Impact Proximity, Oussama Gholmieh, aptly named: ‘How digital and technology can contribute to businesses in an economic downturn.’
