PromaxBDA is pleased to announce the conference programme schedule and lineup for the 2014 Promax Asia Conference in Singapore. The 2-day event will take place on 03 and 04 December at the Arts House. In line with the theme of this year’s conference, Evolution, the conference presents informative and inspiring sessions on critical trends and topics that are needed to stay relevant in today’s fast changing media and marketing environment.

Some of the speakers who will speak at the conference include, internationally renowned comic, TV and movie storyboard artist, Will Simpson. As lead storyboard artist for the HBO Original Series, Game of Thrones, he has contributed to the conceptual design of various elements in the series, such as the designs for the White Walkers and the three-eyed raven. He will take the stage alongside Genevieve Woo, local film-maker and ex-TV news anchor as he shares his experiences, inspirations and what it’s like to be involved in one of television’s most loved series.
Creative Director of MTV Networks Africa, Tim Horwood will open the conference with a keynote session on the new, contemporary African Renaissance and how it is being creatively realized through the cultural touch-points of music and multi-media. Tim is an award-winning Creative Director at MTV Networks Africa. He oversees the Production and Creative departments of MTV, MTV Base, Comedy Central, VH1 and Nickelodeon in Africa.
Emmy award winner Hugo Moss will talk about achieving creative excellence at minimal cost and how to inspire fresh innovation and work around tight budgets. Hugo is the owner, designer and motionographer of Huge Designs. His company has become one of the top title design companies in the UK, designing titles for popular TV series such as Any Human Heart, Downton Abbey, Da Vinci’s Demons and Call The Midwife.
Brand personality expert, Linda Button from Tooth+Nail will hold an interactive workshop as she uncovers the biggest writing myths and reveal how to write copy that pops. Due to popular demand, she will conduct another session, which delves into the essence of writing. In this session, she will lead her participants to discover things that they can do for their own craft. Linda creates positions, taglines and campaigns for the biggest brands in entertainment.
The 2-day conference will come to a close with the annual Promax & BDA Asia Awards Ceremony. The Promax & BDA Asia Awards is the only competition of its kind honouring the finest work in television promotion, marketing and design for the Asia region. It showcases all the outstanding creative work from the region and recognizes all the talented people behind the work. PromaxBDA Asia called for award entries earlier this year and has received an overwhelming amount of entries. The competition is tight this year and it is definitely an event not to be missed!
