Anghami Launches its Newest Original Podcast

‘Shagaf’ Shares the Journey of Saudi and Arab Women Entrepreneurs

As part of its expansion plan, Anghami is set to focus on raising more awareness on podcasts culture in the region by introducing “Shagaf”, a podcast created by women for women. Each episode highlights stories of Saudi and Arab Women in the industry of business, startups and more!

‘Shagaf”, an Anghami Original podcast was launched yesterday and is focused on stories of Saudi and Arab Women in business, tech, startups, and entrepreneurship. The show is hosted by Emon Shakoor who, founder and CEO of Blossom Accelerator, Saudi Arabia’s first tech-inclusion and female focused accelerator.

The core mission of the podcast is to inspire listeners by sharing the experiences of inspiring Women in the midst of their entrepreneurial journey.  As part of The Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goal to pivot Saudi Arabia into an innovation hub, Shagaf podcast will shed light onto Saudi women who are part of this historical transformation. Some of the podcast’s guests include: Yara Ghouth, Nasibah Hafiz, Sara Khonkar.

“As an entrepreneur running an accelerator with a focus on Women, empowering female founders is what I strive for,” says Shakoor. “Working with Anghami on a podcast is a great way to get our literal voices heard and share the realities of what it actually takes to start a business, from hard work, mental health, success, failure and everything in between. We want to share real stories with real women.”

‘Shagaf’ is a weekly series with new episodes every Sunday. The project is part of a bigger series of podcasts that Anghami aspires to produce and stream, based on its previous successful experiences in the industry.
