UAE wins first gold at Cannes Lions 2016

UAE made an impressive start to its award tally at the 2016 Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity with a Gold Lion. This was won by Memac Ogilvy Dubai’s, ‘It’s that affordable’ campaign for IKEA in the Print & Publishing category.

This visually appealing ccampaign was created to remind IKEA customers how little they pay to get beautiful Scandinavian design, at times, as little as a few cups of coffee or some toothpastes.

This was communicated through posters that merge two affordable icons in one, creating the ultimate affordable design ad. Stamps, coffee cups, toothpastes, soda cans and IKEA furniture are fused in a way that brings elegance to a poster campaign that is basically about offers.
