Strong UAE ranking leads to regional title from Great Place to Work®
Omnicom Media Group has been ranked second by the Great Place to Work® Institute in the Best Multinational Workplaces in Asia for 2016. The accolade is based on the aggregate performance of Omnicom Media Group MENA, the third best employer in the UAE for three consecutive years, and OMD Australia in their respective market rankings. The marketing communications group placed second, right after DHL and just ahead of Google and EMC.
The Best Workplaces in Asia list recognises organisations across the Asia-Pacific region that are dedicated to developing and sustaining exceptional workplace cultures for their employees. These employers are distinguished by their extraordinary levels of trust, pride and camaraderie, which are measured by the Great Place to Work® Institute’s Trust Index© survey. This year, more than 1,000 companies across Australia, China, India, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka and the UAE participated in the study. The aggregate performance of multinational companies listed in more than one market forms the basis of the consolidated Best Workplaces in Asia list.
“It is overwhelming to have received this recognition among such a large playing field, particularly in a continent where respect is a sentiment that is held very highly,” said Elie Khouri, CEO of Omnicom Media Group MENA. “This accolade will only inspire us to continue raising the bar in providing a positive, nurturing and respectful environment for our people.”
“Earning the trust of your staff is one of the most challenging tasks for any business,” added Fadi Chamat, regional executive director of human capital at Omnicom Media Group MENA. “To be recognized for our trust levels on a continental scale is truly humbling. Going forward, we will continue to find new and innovative ways to stimulate our people and provide them with the most stimulating workplace experience.”
This is second pan-Asian accolade for Omnicom Media Group MENA this year, after receiving the ‘Best First Time Sustainability Report in Asia’ award at the Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards in January.
The list of the 60 Best Workplaces in Asia was revealed at Great Place to Work’s annual Middle East & Asia Conference and Award Ceremony, held last week in Sydney. The full results from the Great Place to Work Asia study can be found here.
