Roche Media Academy Wins Silver in the Healthcare and Services category at the MEPRA Awards 2015

The Roche Media Academy initiative won the Silver Award in Healthcare and Services category at the Middle East Public Relations Association Awards (MEPRA) 2015.

Launched by Roche UAE in 2014, the Roche Media Academy is an “Empowerment Through Knowledge” initiative, aimed at equipping journalists with accurate information on how diseases affect the lives of patients. Through interactive sessions, it brings together leading healthcare experts from the UAE and journalists from the region to empower them and enhance their knowledge on medical subjects. Sessions cover common, yet less talked about diseases, with an endeavor to support the important role played by the media in raising public awareness on national health concerns.

“We are very pleased and humbled by the recognition that the Roche Media Academy initiative has received. In alignment with our objectives, we hope to continue our efforts in raising awareness on critical diseases to improve the lives of patients and build healthier societies.” expressed Abed Sabra, Country Manager, Roche UAE.

The MEPRA Awards is a leading public relations awards program in the Middle East, recognizing best in class campaigns in various practices, including healthcare.
