MasterCard, Absa / Barclays, Emirates NBD Score Top Three Rankings
The Midas Awards World’s Best Financial Advertising announced the results of the second annual Midas Brand Report, a yearly ranking of the most successful advertisers according to their achievements in the Midas Awards.
“This year’s Midas Brand Report recognized 2015’s most effective and creative financial service campaigns created on behalf of brands,” said Alisun Armstrong, executive director of the Midas Awards. “The Midas Awards applauds both the creative contribution of the international agencies whose award-winning work saw them achieve top ranking on the Midas Report and the forward-thinking advertisers on the Midas Brand Report who approved this year’s most compelling and innovative campaigns.”
The 2015 Midas Brand Report saw innovative brands recognized for the second year in a row for their game-changing creative campaigns. MasterCard was once again in the lead, taking first place thanks to the combined creative efforts of the following global agencies: McCann XBC, McCann Moscow, McCann Romania, FP7/DXB (Part of McCann Worldgroup), R/GA, Vayner Media, McClaren McCann, Rubber Republic, and MasterCard. Absa / Barclays scored second place ranking again this year, with contributing agencies The Jupiter Drawing Room (South Africa) Johannesburg and Base 2 Digital. Emirates NBD, whose award-winning campaigns were created by FP7/DXB (Part of McCann Worldgroup), was ranked third.
Award-winning agencies from around the globe expressed their appreciation for their brand’s recognition and ranking on the 2015 Midas Brand Report.
“For us, Priceless allows MasterCard to drive cardholder affinity, usage and preference for the brand through a meaningful engagement. It’s our job to keep our finger on the pulse of how we deliver on Priceless and we do that by tapping into consumer insights and thinking about how we can expand Priceless into new and exciting ways that meet shifting consumer preferences. It is a tremendous honor to be recognized for the delivery of Priceless to our cardholders through a wide range of initiatives. The platform works so well around the world because everyone understands what Priceless is about, regardless of geography or demographic. At its core, it translates to a sentiment and an emotion that connects to what matters most in peoples’ lives – and everyone can relate to that.”
-Raja Rajamannar, Chief Marketing Officer, MasterCard

As their creative and strategic partners, we’re elated to see them rise to the top 3 in the world and to see them continue to earn brand respect regionally and internationally.”
-Tahaab Rais, Regional Head of Strategic Planning, FP7/DXB (Part of McCann Worldgroup)
“The Nedbank work that won this year ranged from a high-end cinematic business banking television commercial to an integrated piece for Nedbank’s sponsorship of the Design Indaba. It means that the work we do for clients like Nedbank can hold its own on the global stage. Recognition for great work means that we are positively working towards growing our client’s brands.”
-Adam Weber, ECD, Joe Public
