Cheil Bolsters its executive team with a new Chief Growth Officer for the MENA region and turkey

Cheil Middle East and North Africa has appointed Wassim Daniel as Chief Growth Officer who joins the marketing solutions company after 15 years experience in top multinational companies in the GGC and Levant areas. His very recent achievements were establishing FP7-McCann in Iraq and managing MCN’s presence in the Levant region as Growth and Development Director.

In the newly created role, Daniel will be charged with diversifying Cheil’s client portfolio which already includes the recently won global Etihad account, Samsung, du, Coca Cola with its next season of Coke Studio, and Renault. Daniel will also work closely with the agency’s headquarters in Seoul to support global clients that want to leverage any opportunity for a greater market share in the Middle East.

Working alongside the digital team, Daniel will also promote its new services in programmatic media across the current client portfolio and identify new opportunities for the experiential and retail marketing divisions. This includes working closely with the One Agency which is part of the Cheil network and provides production, installation and exhibition services for the network.

Speaking about his appointment, Keesoo Kim, CEO for Cheil MENA said: “Through his experience in the industry, Daniel will add tremendous value by helping introduce domestic clients to Cheil’s global vision for Ideas that Move and to Cheil’s global network of experts that develop cutting-edge solutions to clients’ business problems.”

Daniel added: “Cheil MENA is taking on the legacy networks with the kind of ideas that transcend discipline and the traditional ways of advertising. It has recognized strengths in technology, retail experience, digital solutions and events, which support its offering as a full service agency. There is a real movement happening at Cheil and I am very proud to be part of the executive team driving its expansion.”

Daniel will assume responsibility for the agency’s growth across all offices in the regional network that includes the UAE, Turkey, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Iran.
