$720 billion the size of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods industry in the Gulf

Marking its 25th anniversary of operation in the UAE, Armada Distribution, a leading distributor of premium consumer brands across the UAE and part of the Fattal Group, celebrated under the banner of ’25 Years of Tasteful Moments’ in the presence of more than 250 representatives of retailers and suppliers of FMCG products across the region.

This celebration comes at a time when official figures issued by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) showing that the logistics industry in the UAE has achieved a record growth rate of 92 billion dirhams this year, as well as expectations for a large number on the FMCG products to reach $720 billion by 2018.

Commenting on the celebration, Carol Chalhoub Mourad, Managing Director of Armada said: “Ever since Armada was founded in 1990 under the umbrella of Fattal Group, we have evolved and realized our dreams, incredibly. Mourad stressed that the intense competition in the field of logistics and FMCGs imposes very strict standards of accuracy, confirming that Armada’s secret of success and rapid growth is grounded in its deep understanding of the

requirements of the sector and the utilization of high-end technologies storage, through its fast and effective delivery of products to distribution outlets, and its capacity to ensure global brands reach the final consumer in the best of conditions, as if they are locally sourced. This is the core reason they have succeeded in establishing ’25 Years of Tasteful Moments’.
