For the second year in a row, Baskin Robbins, the world’s largest chain of ice-cream specialty shops and flagship brand of Galadari Ice Cream Company (GICC), ranked Number One in YouGov’s 2014 UAE BrandIndex Dining Category. Baskin Robbins’ top ranking was based on an aggregate measure of customer perception about the brand based on news, advertising and word of mouth between January and December 2014.
The rankings compared BrandIndex scores for the top 14 brands in the Dining Category, revealing those with the most positive brand noise across the United Arab Emirates throughout 2014. The scores measured recent brand sentiment.
“We are proud and delighted to receive this recognition as it acknowledges our dedication and commitment to providing a unique and fun experience that keeps customers coming back for more,” commented Abdulmonem Suliman, GICC Acting General Manager. “Our global yet localized menu offerings satisfy UAE customers who are looking for variety and irresistible taste in a friendly environment,” he also added.
This recognition also comes in parallel with AC Nielsen Winning Brands recently awarding Baskin Robbins with the highest brand equity index in 2014, further substantiating the YouGov BrandIndex findings.
With about 700 stores across the Middle East, GICC is continuously working on expanding and growing Baskin Robbins brand in the region. The company has opened 50 stores in 2014 across the GCC. GICC was also awarded the prestigious “Developer of the Year” Award for achieving the highest record number for New Store Openings in 2013 and the Marketing Excellence Award for the Al Dahabi Campaign from Dunkin’ Brands Group, Inc.
The group currently operates its stores across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Australia under management with Palm Oasis Ventures.
