Makeup brand Max Factor has selected legendary Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe as its ‘global campaign ambassador’.
Although she passed away in 1962, the brand will use Monroe’s image as part of its 2015 advertising campaigns.
Max Factor will highlight the role it played in Monroe’s career when, according to the brand, then-president Max Factor Jr was responsible for creating her trademark look in the Forties.
Pat McGrath, Max Factor’s global creative design director said: “Marilyn made the sultry red lip, creamy skin and dramatically-lined eyes the most famous beauty look of the Forties and it’s a look that continues to dominate the beauty and fashion industry.
“It is the ultimate look that defines glamour – nothing else compares,” added McGrath.
The rights to Monroe’s image belong to the Authentic Brands Group.
