Air Miles members now earn one Air Mile for every AED 1 spent on Zurich’s UAE motor, home or travel insurance packages
Global insurer Zurich today announced it has entered into an agreement with Air Miles Middle East to join its customer loyalty programme.
Under the partnership, Air Miles members in the UAE will earn one Air Mile for every AED 1 they spend on any of Zurich’s motor, home or travel insurance packages. The Air Miles can then be redeemed to purchase a wide variety of rewards, such as travel offers, groceries, electronic goods and family adventure packages.
Following the signing of the partnership agreement, a new co-branded website, accessible from www.airmilesme.com, has been launched to provide customers with a seamless quote and purchase experience. Clients qualify for Air Miles if they purchase Zurich insurance products through the www.airmilesme.com website or via alternative Air Miles digital promotions.
Paul Lacey, Managing Director of Air Miles Middle East, commented: “We are proud of this important addition to our partner base, which should serve as a real bonus for our members and Zurich’s customers. Insurance is one of life’s necessities and our members can now benefit every time they take out motor, home or travel insurance. Zurich is a globally recognised, reputable brand and our members will be able to benefit from peace of mind while also earning Air Miles when taking out annual policies with our new partner.”
Brian Reilly, CEO of Zurich Insurance Middle East, added: “We are delighted to partner with Air Miles and to provide our customers with additional value and benefits as part of their Zurich experience. This partnership allows our clients to earn Air Miles and access a wider array of promotions from the region’s largest loyalty programme. At Zurich, we always seek to reward our valued customers with innovative offers; the partnership with Air Miles, which complements our range of insurance packages, is further evidence of this.”
Following recent reports the UAE is the fastest-growing insurance market in the GCC, expanding at 17 per cent per annum over the past six years, the new partnership between Zurich and Air Miles is expected to enhance the awareness and understanding of the range of travel and home insurance packages provided by Zurich in the UAE.
While it is mandatory for all cars in the UAE to possess motor insurance, only six percent of residents hold home contents insurance according to a YouGov survey commissioned by Zurich. Moreover, despite expatriates comprising the majority of the UAE’s population, Zurich research has found only around ten per cent of UAE residents use travel insurance. This contrasts with European nations, for example the UK where more than three quarters of residents purchase home and travel insurance.
